Junior Infants had a busy day on Friday . First they made lovely cards for Mother’s Day and then they made cuddly coats for their Teddy Bears!
For the past two weeks, Senior Infants have been learning all about healthy habits. We talked about the importance of eating well and keeping fit. We learned that they play a vital role in keeping our organs healthy!
So today, we had a ‘fruit and veg’ taster class. We tried lots of different fruit like bananas, kiwis, grapes, apples and melons. We also tasted carrot and turnip sticks, cucumber and peppers. And to wash it all down, we decided to make fruit smoothies. They were delicious!! Well done to everyone who tried new food that they hadn’t tasted before!
Love and kindness were in the air today in Senior Infants for St. Valentine’s Day. In English, we picked one person in the class and we had to say some kind words about them. We mentioned what that person was good at and why we liked them. We were all feeling very happy inside after all the compliments!
We then decorated hearts using coloured crepe paper. We also wrote a special message on the back for Mammy and Daddy. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!!
Senior Infants had their second music class yesterday as part of Music Generation. We have been doing lots of fun and exciting activities with Anna and we are really enjoying it. Yesterday we all had the opportunity to play the cello and last week we were playing the ukulele. We can’t wait to see what Anna brings for us next week!!
